1.) Make sure to "follow" me on your blog. This is as simple as going to my page and clicking the "follow me" tab on the bottom right corner.
2.) Add a video from the internet of any tune or song that you really like. (Be sure to check out the tutorial video below for help.) In the comment section below the video write three to four well thought-out paragraphs describing why you like that song. List specific aspects that you dig. For example: Do you enjoy the groove that the bass and the drums have? Are there specific lyrics that you identify with? Do you have a history with this piece of music? Think about how your life is made better by having this music.
Be sure to include two ideas you want the listener of the song to ask themselves while they listen to your song.

Music Reading Class on the Internet!
Please go to http://www.musictheory.net/ to read and explore the material we covered in class today.
Start with the "Lessons" tab on the top and work through each item below until you reach "Rests and Duration"
At that point go to the "Exercises" tab on the top and work on "Note Identification" - You should not need to make any modifications.
Work through the note identification exercise about 10 minutes per session 2 times a day until you can achieve 100% accuracy!

Welcome to the Blogodome
As part of the class you will be creating an electronic portfolio in the form of a blog. The blog will serve as a way to post written information, reactions to recordings, pictures, and videos that pertain to the concepts presented in class. Homework, project, group work, and most other assignments will be submitted using the blog format.
